A protocol was signed between Gazi University (GU) and Modern Pentathlon, Badminton, Canoe, Table Tennis and Judo federations for talent screening and athletic performance tests of athletes.

According to the statement made by the university, within the scope of the protocol, Gazi University Talent and Performance Application and Research Center in Sports will cooperate with the federations for scientific research as well as the talent screening and athletic performance tests of the athletes affiliated to the relevant federations.

The center will also help protect athletes from injuries. Project-based activities will also be carried out with the training of trainers in cooperation.

Gazi University Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız said that with these protocols, they have made bilateral cooperation agreements with 14 federations related to sports so far. Yıldız stated that many national athletes were educated at the Faculty of Sport Sciences.

Federation representatives, on the other hand, stated that the protocols will contribute to the development of sports and thanked Rector Yıldız.

The signatures were signed by Rector Yıldız and President of the Modern Pentathlon Federation Assoc. Dr. Veli Ozan Çakır, Badminton Federation President Murat Özmekik, Canoe Federation President Alper Cavit Kabakçı, Table Tennis Federation Vice President Ahmet Yaprak and Judo Federation General Secretary Mustafa Bahadır.
